We are glad to present to you the seminar from Prof. Michel Boivin - Toward a comprehensive biosocial understanding of childhood developmental trajectories: Lessons from two Quebec birth cohorts.

Michel Boivin is Professor of Psychology, Canada Research Chair in Child Development, and the founding director of the Groupe de recherche sur l'inadaptation psychosociale chez l'enfant (GRIP) at Laval University (Québec, Canada). He leads a research program on the biological and psycho-social determinants of child development, with an emphasis on early childhood and gene-environment processes. His work is anchored to population-based longitudinal birth-cohort studies, including the Quebec Newborn Twin Study and the Quebec Longitudinal Study of Child Development, and has published in leading peer-reviewed international journals in psychology, psychiatry, and pediatrics. He also leads the web-based Encyclopedia on Early Childhood Development, an international initiative aimed at knowledge dissemination. Prof. Boivin is a member of the Royal Society of Canada.
